9月20日生まれ。A型、愛知県出身。武蔵野音楽大学器楽科卒業。
2000年にミニアルバム「礼」を発表しインディーズ・デビュー。2005年にビクターのBabeStarレーベルに移籍、アルバムからの先行シングル「楯」、アルバム「ただいま」でメジャー・デビュー。シングル3枚、アルバム3枚を発表する。2008年4月、4枚目のアルバム「解体ピアノ」発表を前に、アーティスト活動から引退となる歌手廃業を宣言。同年7月、「感謝的 解体ヨエコ ツアー」の東京キネマ倶楽部公演をもって引退。2023年、「ヨエコ」と言う名で、自身の活動を15年振りに再開し、復帰アルバム「ニューヨエコ」をクラッキスイレブンから発表。2025年9月には復帰第3弾アルバム「ニューヨエコ 3rd～For You～」を発表する。

Born on September 20, Blood type A, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Graduated from Musashino Academia Musicae with a degree in instrumental music.
She made her indies debut in 2000 with the release of her mini-album “Rei,” and in 2005 moved to Victor's BabeStar label, where she made her major label debut with the single ‘Tate’ from her album and the album "TADAIMA. In April 2008, before the release of her fourth album, “Kaitai Piano,” she announced her retirement from singing. In July of the same year, she retired after the Tokyo Kinema Club performance of the “Grateful Dismantled Yoeko Tour.” In 2023, she resumed her own activities under the name ‘Yoeko’ for the first time in 15 years, releasing her return album “New Yoeko” on the Craques 11 label.In September 2025, she will release her third album “New Yoeko 3rd ~For You~”.
