Six weeks atop the singles sales chart for this million-seller which shared the top-10 for nine weeks with his follow-up “Stranger In Paradise,” also a gold record. “Rags To Riches” was composed by the team of Richard Adler & Jerry Ross of “The Pajama Game” and “Damn Yankees” fame.
