Description
A Flock Of Seagulls lovely 80's valentine "Space Age Love Song" is a wonderful super charged love song. I really liked "I Ran" and "Space Age Love Song" followed and I liked it even more. The song was their fourth single from their debut album, following "Telecommunication" in Sept 81, "Modern Love Is Automatic" in Nov 81 and then "I Ran" in March of 1982.
It peaked at #30 back in 1983 but I always thought that it should have done better. I love the lyrics:
I saw your eyes
And you made me smile
For a little while
I was falling in love
Simple but heartfelt. Mike Score's vocals are uplifting and the beat is so infectious! I can't say enough about the guitar work flying over the bass and drums. These guys killed it and were ahead of their time.
