With as many artists and songwriters as Motown had at their disposal, their album filler material for their artists in the 1960's would have been hits at any other label. One such song that served as album filler on the Temptations' With A Lot O' Soul album as well as on Gladys Knight And The Pips' debut LP titled, Everybody Needs Love, was this 1967 tune, Aint No Sun Since You've Been Gone. Gladys Knight And The Pips version picks up the tempo from the Temptations version but both are prime examples of the kind of superior depth Motown possessed over other companies trying to keep pace with Motown during the 1960's.
