Using CD as the source media, this is a remastering of "Angels with Dirty Faces" which appeared on the 1992 album by Los Lobos entitled KIKO.

KIKO should have won grammies, best ofs, oscars, baftas, mercury prizes, all sorts. It is simply one of the best albums released in the 1990's, and in my opinion should appear on any "you must listen to this before you die" list.

This is a first run at the remastering of the album entire, and I'll be taking my time, because the songs are filled with so many things, that I want the end result to have all those things in them.

Chicano rock, Roots rock, Tex-Mex, Americana, Psychedelic rock.

I would say there is so much represented on KIKO that trying to classify it into some genre exclusive would be folly. It's like a travel through "Mexi-Americana" where the map transcends borders, and pulls into every town to pick something up. It is a thing of beauty this album. It peaked on the Billboard Chart at 143, which is absolutely shameful. This album is no.1.
