This song is a cry to God for a broken and suffering world.
I wrote this song in 1999. It seems to be more and more relevant. Call upon the Lord.
Kyrie comes from the greek word Kurios. That is the greak version of "Adonai".
We call upon Adonai, the God of Israel, to send His deliverance to those in need. Those who are suffering.
He, the creator of heaven and earth, said: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
He, Adonai, sent His Messiah. His son Jesus. Yeshua. He died on the cross and took on himself the punishment we all should have received. Punishment because of our sins and hatred. See this film of what humans are capable of.
By Jesus' sacrifice, anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.
He, Yeshua, the King of kings, shall return soon. Than He will put an end to all the misery. The killing, stealing, hurting will end. Sickness and pain will end. No more poverty and hunger. Every tear of sadness, pain and loneliness will be dried. I think we will cry for joy when we see Him. The Holy One whom we love. He is alltogether glorious and wonderful. Full of Loving kindness.
Isaiah 55:6
Seek the LORD while he may be found;
call on him while he is near.
Psalm 55:16
As for me, I call to God,
and the LORD saves me.
Psalm 99:6
Moses and Aaron were among his priests,
Samuel was among those who called on his name;
they called on the LORD
and he answered them.
