Description
Lexie Carroll performs her 2022 single "violet", from her self-released 2023 EP "it's difficult to talk", live at The Lodge, The Deaf Institute, Grosvenor Street, Manchester, England on Saturday 30 November 2024.
The 19-year-old from West London has a string of impressive live performances under her belt, having sold out a headline show at London’s OMEARA last October and supported Adam Melchor, Matilda Mann, Tom Odell, Wasia Project and flowerovlove - as well as playing at Reading & Leeds, All Points East and The Great Escape.
A compulsive songwriter since childhood, Lexie is a huge fan of Phoebe Bridgers and Aurora and has been inspired by artists such as dodie, Bon Iver and Chloe Moriondo. She's also an accomplished designer who creates all her own artwork and studies Psychology at university.
There has been a deluge of wistful indie-folk music in recent years, but what marks Carroll out is her ability to combine a sweet voice and sensitive, self-reflective lyrics with catchy indie hooks and choruses on standout tracks such as "sunflood", "laundry detergent" and "we never made it to Glasgow".
