Beneath the Crystal Veil was written one winter after gazing through a lake that had frozen over. There were reeds and rushes beneath swaying gently in the current and it felt like I was looking into another world.

The original piano recording was one of my most played tracks on Spotify but I felt strings could bring something new. It was wonderful working with Alix Vaillot-Szwarc and Özgür Kaya on this - their beautiful playing and imagination helped evoke the sense of ice, otherworldliness, and peace.
