I have a vivid memory from my childhood of singing “La mia storia tra le dita” at the top of my lungs, a song that came out two years before I was born… yet it was so successful that it captured the hearts of generations to come.
It’s one of the few Italian songs that found success abroad, so much so that last year, during my first South American tour, I performed it live and thought, “Why not record a version for my new album?”
So, I recorded it and sent it to the song’s author for approval… not only was he thrilled with my version, but he loved it so much that he wanted to record it with me.
This is a dream come true, and I already carry the beautiful memory of singing it with him on the stage of the Teatro del Silenzio.
