The first time I heard Olafur Arnalds, I realized that his way of playing was quite different from the rest of the pianists... And well, the first thing I thought was: "Ok, he will never come to Chile".

So, for many years I just kept watching his videos on Youtube, looking forward to some new material, an album, some collaboration and listening to his songs to fall asleep.

However, these last 3 months of aimless travel, coincided in the fact that when Ring Road was finished in Iceland, I could go to the first concert of the tour that was postponed due to the pandemic.

This concert has been one of the most important in my life... I have never vibrated with joy and felt so much sadness at the same time. A lot of things turned my stomach (keeps happening) and I think I could perceive even the smallest detail of everything that was happening. Unfortunately, I couldn't understand anything, because he spoke all the time in the local language.

Adding coincidences, I was also able to go to the concert in Denmark. This time I was able to understand the stories behind each song and how special this one in particular was (which has been my favorite for a long time). I can't get over how incredibly respectful the audience was... Olafur was silent for a long time after the last note...

Perhaps how many memories went through his head and the whole place stayed on the same page.

My grandmother is 90, she probably doesn't have much time left and I think this version is for her too.
