Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE knows this tune. I don't think Scott Joplin knew that everyone would know this tune when he wrote it, but they do. Trouble is, most people don't know he wrote it. You have been educated. =3
Here's my take on the tune. I wubbed the low notes, squared the high notes, and divided the mid range notes into their own instrument, a saw pad. Then I swung it a bit and put a funky beat on top, and voila!! We got a remix.
