It is a very popular misconception that the dinosaur Dilophosaurus was a venom-spitting small dinosaur. This is because of Jurassic Park, which portrayed it as both of those. And while that is cool, in reality Dilophosaurus was not like that, at all. Dilophosaurus was a large dinosaur, measuring at 6 meters or 20 feet long. But in Jurassic Park, it is only 3 meters (10 feet). The dinosaur also lacked its infamous frill and venomous spit that had been so prominently featured in the movies.
