As THE TICKETS duo we enjoy performing our own arrangements of Sixties classics, using a variety of acoustic instruments and some unique foot percussion. Our version of Roy Orbison's first hit Uptown is the last of six numbers that we played live to camera during a February afternoon at the Sofa Lounge Studio in The Hague, just days before the first lockdowns fundamentally changed the world of live performance for the then foreseeable future. It takes us back to where we started our session with One After 909: Nigel’s stomping acoustic bass with its tape wound strings, simultaneously played solo’s and fills on the harmonica, with Dave multi-tasking on his rhythm guitar, lowboy hi-hat and digital bass drum.
