Danny Elfman’s Wednesday theme (the iconic cello lead) recreated as an orchestral MIDI mock-up with Vienna Symphonic Library instruments and mixed with the reverb from Synchron Stage Vienna.

The Wednesday world is back - and so is that deliciously gothic sound composed by the incredible Danny Elfman. In this video, our friend Greg Robert recreates some cues from Wednesday as a full orchestral MIDI mockup in his DAW, featuring expressive solo strings (that unmistakable cello!) and many other VSL libraries among a modern film‑score palette.

Meet Greg in his short intro, and then immediately dive into the complete playback inside the DAW. Watch the parts breathe - the legato lines, string divisi, woodwind color, brass lift - and see how a contemporary orchestral mix comes together.
