I’ve always loved the hauntingly beautiful melody of this song. This version features eerie pedal steel and ethereal female vocals to emphasize the spooky, mystical, dreamy atmosphere. The traditional English folk song “Greensleeves” dates back to the 16th century, with lyrics written by William Chatterson Dix in 1865 for “What Child Is This,” the classic Christmas carol.
