In the last half of the 1960s, The Troggs placed ten singles onto the UK charts. Their first, "Wild Thing", peaked at #2 ... but they followed it with this one. Written by front man Reg Presley, "With a Girl Like You" broke into the British charts on 16 July 1966 and one month later, it occupied the top spot.
