Teaching my dog to wear weird things so recovery cones are no big deal. Featuring cookies, and Wolly being an adorable boss 🐾

Wolly’s practising a fun cooperative care game - putting his head into different objects, and wearing all sorts of weird things - like this square foam packing frame, a cardboard box “collar,” and whatever else I dream up.

Why? Because if he ever does need a recovery cone, he’ll already think it’s just another game.

This kind of “head in” game is a brilliant way to prepare your dog for vet visits, grooming, and post-surgery care, without the stress.

Also, please enjoy the moment where I completely lose it laughing at his ridiculousness and just hand him cookies. Training shouldn't be about perfection. It’s about progress. Enjoy, have fun, and keep it positive.
